Workshops & Masterclasses Ableton Live

Everywhere on the Internet you can find tutorials given by experienced and less experienced Ableton Live users. That’s great. It can save you a lot of time exploring it all yourself. Does this make an Ableton Live course expendable? I don’t think so. Don’t get me wrong: many of these videos are a great help. But you are able to get more out off yourself by using the program in your own way. Only informing yourself on the Internet will give you just the solutions for the problems you found. You’ll never see the possibilities you didn’t think of yourself. Second your creativity will nearly be stimulated.

In my workshops I highlight that important thing that makes Ableton Live different from other DAW’s: the musical usage at live performances.

What do you need?

Following the individual course your level is from no importance. Lessons are completely customized to your capabilities. So it makes no difference whether you are a beginner or even brought up productions your self.

In a classical course the starting level is normally equal for everyone. Elementary knowledge off the computer although is necessary. You have to be able to click and drag and you must know how to find your files back. Some basic knowledge of music would be nice too. Don’t you have any idea about scales, keys and time signatures and do you only see question marks if others talk about melody and rhythm, then we better discuss the possibilities for individual lessons. If you do know what a compressor does and how to use a limiter and I are aware of the importance of an equalizer than you have more than enough technical knowledge to start the course. Don’t you know where I’m talking about? No worries. You will learn by playing.

Are you’re not quite sure if you have enough knowledge to follow the classical course? Please contact me.

Primarily you don’t need nothing to become part of the course or to participate in one of the sections. A keyboard to play, a controller to control Ableton Live easily and an interface for better recording quality are here for you already if you need them. You can borrow a headphone and a computer too but I have to advice you to bring your own. Concerning the headphone you have the same frame of reference as you have at home. Ableton allows you to use their software for free during one month. It’s best to install it on your own laptop so you are able to work on the assignments at home.

You follow the Ableton Live courses for a purpose of course. During those lessons you will get excited about the software and want to continue to work with these. You surely want to own the software. Students have the opportunity to download the software at a reduced Price even till three months after ending the course.
